Jobs & Career Guidance

The Department receives many notices about internships, full-time jobs and other career related opportunities. This information is not sent out to the entire student body but is instead disseminated through a listserv and website. If you wish to receive emails about internships and full-time jobs in urban planning and related fields, join the DURP-JOBS listserv. If you do not want to receive jobs information by email, simply check the DURP-JOBS listserv website on a regular basis.

There are two ways to sign up for the DURP-JOBS listserv (choose one):

1. Send an email to DURP-JOBS@LISTSERV.ILLINOIS.EDU. In both the body and subject line of your message, type "Subscribe DURP-JOBS" (without the quotes) and send. You will receive a confirmation email from CITES. Respond to the confirmation and you will be added to the list.


2. Visit the DURP-JOBS website: https://listserv.illinois.edu/archives/durp-jobs.html and click on the "join the list" link.
