MISSION

The GRIP-Lab is devoted to understanding the causes, consequences, and intersections of race, gender, and class inequality as they relate to the field of planning. The primary objective of the GRIP-Lab is to engage scholars, practitioners, and students in addressing relevant and targeted questions on these issues and to use multiple tools (empirical, theoretical and action-based) to address these issues. The broader goal of the lab is to improve education, decision-making, and policy around concerns related to the intersections of race, gender, and class inequality in US, transnational, and International planning.

LOCATION

The GRIP Lab is located in 427 Noble Hall on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign
